Acoustical Sound Sealant (1-tube) - 29oz

Acoustical Sealant is a single component, non-skinning, non-hardening synthetic rubber sealant that is used to create a barrier between gaps to reduce sound transmission.

Benefits are:

  • Effectively reduces sound transmissions of partition systems
  • Recommended for vapor barriers, seams between drywall panels, bedding receptacle boxes, other wall outlets, etc., to further reduce transmission of sound
  • Will not harden, skin, shrink, bleed, or stain
  • Synthetic rubber compound designed specifically for sealing drywall partitions, and as a perimeter sealant for poly vapor barriers
  • 20-year minimum life expectancy
  • Joint and vapor seals remain intact
  • Not recommended for exposed interior or exterior applications, as it retains its tack (will pick up dirt) and cannot be painted.
